Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, The Bahamas
One of the top golf resorts in The Bahamas is Sandals Emerald Bay. The award-winning oceanside course here is considered one of the best Caribbean golf courses due to its design by Greg Norman, featuring dramatic fairways, strategically placed bunkers, mangroves, and sand dunes. Good for both new and experienced golfers, it stretches over 7001 yards (the longest in the Caribbean) and is a par 72.
An added advantage of this course is that if you stay at Sandals Emerald Bay, you get free green fees as part of the all-inclusive package. Guests also enjoy a wide range of onsite amenities including luxury accommodations, daily and nightly entertainment, free watersports, and 11 different restaurants. By the golf course, there is a golf shop, practice range with putting and chipping greens, and practice bunker. Complimentary clinics are available each week.
If you’re not a guest at the resort, don’t worry, you can still play here. Green fees for those not staying at the resort are $125 per person. Golf carts are mandatory and not included in the fee (or the all-inclusive package) but are available for rental.
Royal Blue, Nassau, The Bahamas
Located on the north coast of New Providence, Nassau, in The Bahamas, Royal Blue Golf Course is situated right beside beautiful Cable Beach.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this course delivers a challenging yet fair game. It is kept in good condition and tee locations vary depending on the weather each day, creating a unique and ever-changing experience for golfers who frequent the course. It is 7,153 yards and a par 72.
This Caribbean golf course is owned and operated by Baha Mar Resort, with resort guests getting a great discount on green fees. If you’re staying there, the price is $295 on weekdays and $350 on weekends. Those not staying at the resort can still play, but it will cost $395 on weekdays and $450 on weekends.
Corales Golf Course, Dominican Republic
Situated at the Puntacana Resort & Club in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Corales Golf Course boasts amazing ocean views so you can take in the best of the Caribbean scenery while you play.
This 18-hole championship course isn’t for the faint of heart. Designed by top golf course architect Tom Fazio, it’s popular for the final three holes, commonly known as the “Devil’s Elbow,” where golfers must contend with strong winds and ocean mists.

The Abaco Club, Great Abaco, The Bahamas
Part of The Abaco Club (home to a range of restaurants, a clubhouse, and a beautiful beach), The Abaco Club Golf Course is one not to be missed on a trip to the Abacos in The Bahamas.
Created by world-renowned golf architects Donald Steel and Tom Mackenzie, this exciting and intricate course boasts a challenging Scottish-style links design. It measures 7,123 yards and is par 72.
The fourth and fifth holes on this course, set on an elevated tee and a beach tee respectively, force golfers to contend with the elements and test their skills against the weather. Guest green fees are usually around $250 per person, though they can vary seasonally.
Old Quarry Golf Course, Curacao
Located in Willemstad, Curacao, the Old Quarry Golf Course offers commanding views of the harbor, Tafelberg Mountain, and the sparkling ocean. Many golfers feel that not only is it one of the best Caribbean golf courses, it is the best golf course in the whole of Curacao.
Designed by the famous American golf course architect Pete Dye, the Old Quarry Golf Course offers a great game for golfers of all skill levels. That said, the diverse terrain and landscape make it slightly more challenging. This course stretches across 6,946 yards and is a par 72 golf course.
Onsite amenities include a pro shop, club rentals, a restaurant, and a staff that are always happy to help out. While the course is located beside a resort, you don’t have to be a guest there to play. Fees are just $195 per person.
Green Monkey, Sandy Lane, Barbados
Located in the popular area of St. James and providing panoramic views of the ocean, Green Monkey is hailed as the best golf course on the small island of Barbados.
Designed by Tom Fazio, this golf course is carved out of a limestone quarry and features18 holes that weave around rocky pastures, trees, bunkers, ponds, and greenery. It also offers a range of interesting things to see, such as a bunker in the shape of Barbados’ famous green monkey (which the course is named after). It is a 7,343-yard, par 72 golf course.
There is varied elevation across the course, which makes it fun for beginners and experts alike. There’s also a variety of onsite amenities, including a pro shop and a restaurant. Green fees are quite steep, at $400 per person.
Royal Westmoreland, Barbados
Known as one of the golfing world’s best hidden gems, Royal Westmoreland is another excellent option on the beautiful island of Barbados. With stunning views of the Caribbean and excellent conditions, there’s little left to want from this amazing course, located just 30 minutes north of the popular area of Bridgetown, St. James.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., this challenging course has been built around the natural environment and requires quite a lot of strategy to complete. It features plenty of lush greenery, natural rock formations, 98 carefully placed bunkers, and lovely hills.
Onsite amenities include practice greens, a restaurant, a driving range, a pro shop, and a locker room. It is a par 72 golf course that measures 7,045 yards. Royal Westmoreland’s green fees are $250 per person.
White Witch Golf Course, Jamaica
As one of the larger Caribbean islands, Jamaica offers quite a few golf courses. However, it’s said that the White Witch Golf Course is the best. The location is one of the most impressive things about it, as it is situated on the same 4000-acre property as the famous Rose Hall Great House, a historic mansion that is rumored to be haunted.
The course was designed by Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril and features natural beauty plus great elevation changes, creating a fun and exciting challenge for all golfers who play here. It covers 6,758 yards and is a par 71 course.
Green fees for White Witch Golf Course are a low $150 per person.
Teeth of the Dog, Dominican Republic
Located in La Romana in the Dominican Republic, Teeth of the Dog Golf Course is part of the Casa de Campo Resort. Ranked as one of the top golf courses in the Caribbean, it’s also the 45th-best golf course in the world and offers both a convenient location and stunning landscape.
Designed by renowned golf course architect Pete Dye, it is a challenging course with engaging shots and a few holes where the elements provide an extra factor to contend with. There’s a selection of holes along the ocean, and even more scattered across rolling hills. This is a par 72 course that measures 7,350 yards.
Green fees for Teeth of the Dog are quite steep, at $499 per person, reflecting its position as one of the best Caribbean golf courses. It must be noted that a caddie and a golf cart are mandatory and not included in the price. These will set you back an extra $30 plus tips.
Sandals Golf & Country Club, Ocho Rios, Jamaica
If you’re an avid golfer who also loves an all-inclusive getaway, then Sandals Ochi is the perfect pick for you. Located in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, this resort is just a 15-minute drive from its golf course at the Sandals Golf & Country Club.
The course is fairly challenging, with narrow fairways, drop-offs, rolling hills, and various elevation shifts that will challenge players both experienced and new. Amenities on-site include a pro shop, a snack shack, putting and chipping greens, a practice range, and a restaurant. The course measures 6,404 yards and is par 71.
Green fees at the Sandals Golf & Country Club are $105 per person, but if you’re staying at any Sandals resort in Jamaica, it’s free as part of your all-inclusive program!
