Sandals resorts are always planning new locations, and have opened several new resorts over the last few years. The most recent newest Sandals resort is Sandals Saint Vincent in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
Before that, the newest Sandals resort was Sandals Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and then Sandals Royal Curacao in Curacao. All three are examples of the “Sandals 2.0” initiative that the brand is taking to elevate the entire resort experience.

Sandals Saint Vincent opened in March 2024 and is an resort offering new dining concepts, unique accommodations, and a fantastic setting between lush hills and a beautiful beach.
The most unique suite here is the Two-Story Vincy Overwater Villa, which has two floors and more than 1200 square feet. There are also amazing beachfront butler villas with private pools.
There are 12 restaurants at Sandals St. Vincent and the food is great; Buccan is one of our favorites, serving local dishes. There are also 9 bars. You can choose from 5 pools including an amazing two-level infinity pool on the beach, and there is a wide range of complimentary onsite activities.
The vibe here is authentic Caribbean and the service is friendly and warm.

Sandals Dunn’s River opened in May 2023 and is now our favorite Sandals in Jamaica. It offers a gorgeous design that evokes the nearby Dunn’s River Falls, great pools, delicious food at new restaurant concepts, fantastic bars serving craft cocktails, and more unique accommodations.
Among the complimentary activities at Sandals Dunn’s River are motorized watersports since the water is nice and calm, as well as golf at a nearby championship resort. There are 5 pools and 2 river pools. Our favorite restaurant was Zuka for Latin American fusion, and our favorite bar was the Rum Club. We also loved the new Blum coffee bar and its amazing coffee drinks.
Accommodations include the first-ever Coyaba Sky Rondovals, which have a furnished rooftop deck with a Tranquility Soaking Tub, swim-up access, and a private pool plus personal butler service, as well as beachfront Skypool suites.

Sandals Royal Curacao opened in June 2022 on Curacao, which is a Dutch Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela. This gives Sandals Curacao a more European feel than any other Sandals resort, for something different.
It also features new types of restaurants and accommodations. Here, those include a Dutch café, Kurason Island Poolside Bungalows, and Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows with private pools.
Sandals Curacao has 8 restaurants, 3 food trucks, 13 bars including a swim-up bar and a overwater bar, a bilevel infinity pool, and the usual assortment of complimentary watersports and land activities. It also includes golf at a nearby course. Curacao is especially known for good snorkeling and scuba diving.
There are cool design features throughout the resort like heart-shaped loungers and hidden hot tubs. There are Dutch bikes you can ride around the grounds, and the nicest suites come with convertible MINI Coopers you can use to go off the resort. We highly recommend exploring the island, especially the pastel-colored capital of Willemstad.
