The Verandah Resort & Spa
Recommended by Nina Ragusa of Where in the World is Nina?
Staying in an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean is quite possibly the perfect getaway. You don’t have to lift a finger unless it’s to shove more food in your face nor do you have to go very far unless you’re just walking a few feet from your front door to the beach.
Staying at the Verandah All-Inclusive Resort in Antigua for a week had me spoiled rotten. It literally has everything you need and some things you didn’t know you wanted. They always had numerous options for food choices. You could order quick easy bites straight from your beach chair or go to the restaurants if you want to dress up.
There are two beautiful beaches to relax on and two pools to enjoy as well. There are tons of toys like SUP boards and kayaks that are free to use and my personal favorite is their sea hammocks. If I could, I’d live in one.
The rooms are amazing because they are more like a duplex/cabin of sorts which means you only share a wall with one other room and it’s a bit more of a home than a regular hotel room. The rooms are comfortable and large and all come with a balcony. There’s a kitchenette provided so you can grab coffee and snacks at your convenience too.
This place is really for anyone. I was here with friends but couples and families were all enjoying the resort just the same. The resort also partners with Pineapple Beach Resort right next door, so if you’re in the mood to switch things up, you again, don’t have to go very far. You’re allowed to use their facilities and enjoy their large and beautiful beach too!
Other amenities include three restaurants, four bars and lounges, private beaches, and an outdoor pool, as well as a spa, a fitness center, and a kids’ club, making The Verandah Resort & Spa a great place for families as well. Prices start at $ 391 per night, and they vary depending on the room type and your overall stay.

Best Time to Visit Antigua
The tropical climate of Antigua makes it a great spot to vacation during most of the year, but there are less crowded and more affordable times to book that beach getaway.
The best time to visit Antigua is during the off-season which runs from May to November. During this season, there are fewer visitors and often lower prices for activities and accommodations. Temperatures during this time are often more comfortable and you’ll have to deal with less rain.
During the later part of this season, you’ll need to be cautious of hurricanes, however. Hurricanes are most common in Antigua from mid-August to mid-October. These storms are incredibly powerful and dangerous, so it’s important to stay alert to the weather and get travel insurance.
Antigua is a fantastic destination if you’re looking for a little R&R. To make it even less stressful, you should book a stay at one of these amazing all-inclusive resorts. You’ll feel so pampered after your stay, you’ll definitely have a hard time getting back to reality.
