Sandals Royal Plantation

One of the highlights of staying at Sandals Royal Plantation is that it’s an all-butler resort. What that means is guests in every room category are assigned a personal butler who will cater to their individual needs for the duration of their stay. Some of their duties include arranging all dinner reservations, performing evening turndown service, and serving sumptuous room-service meals. We particularly loved how our butlers were able to anticipate our needs which enabled us to have the best honeymoon possible.

Another memorable part of our stay at Sandals Royal Plantation was the guestroom itself. One of only 74 rooms on the resort, our entry-level room featured a majestic king-sized bed, a French balcony with stunning oceanfront views, his & hers marble vanities, and a small bar stocked with premium liquor. Higher-level room categories include full balconies, separate sitting areas, walk-in showers, and more.

One thing we were worried about was potential boredom staying on such a small property. We were pleasantly surprised once we arrived to find that there were so many things to do onsite. Everything from glass-bottom boat rides to fitness classes, to scuba diving was included, leaving us wishing we had more time to spend enjoying all the amenities.

Is Ocho Rios Safe to Visit?

Some travelers might be scared by the fact that Jamaica’s crime rate often makes headlines, but, according to tourism officials of the country, charming Ocho Rios is one of the safer parts of Jamaica, and visitors are not at risk.

All travelers, however, must take increased caution measures during their Jamaican explorations, especially when visiting Montego Bay, and Kingston, Jamaica’s capital city. So, when visiting other destinations, make sure you are not too flashy, and keep your belongings supervised all the time. Also, avoid walking and driving at night, exploring the surroundings on your own, and in secluded areas.
