Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay is one of two Sandals resorts in Jamaica that features the iconic overwater bungalows. (The other is Sandals South Coast.)
While we haven’t stayed in one, we did tour them when we visited Sandals Royal Caribbean and they are pretty amazing.

Setting
The overwater bungalows are set above the Caribbean, along an elevated walkway with a heart shape that is located on the resort’s private island. This island, reached by a fun boat ride from the main resort, also features two beautiful beaches, a pool with swim-up bar, and two restaurants.
The resort is located in Montego Bay, Jamaica, just about 15 minutes from the airport. It offers 9 restaurants, 5 bars, 8 pools, 6 whirlpools, a lovely beach, and a wide range of complimentary watersports and land activities including daily and nightly entertainment. You also get access to everything at nearby Sandals Montego Bay, via a free shuttle.
Sandals Royal Caribbean Overwater Bungalow Types
There are two types of overwater bungalow at Sandals Royal Caribbean. The first is larger and adds a private pool, but both are quite luxurious.
Both come with a range of extra perks including personal butler service, 24-hour in-room dining, a full bar including premium spirits and sparkling wine, private water taxi service to the main resort, a personal greeting at the airport and expedited immigration, private airport transfers in a BMW, a welcome gift, and Molton Brown toiletries.
The Overwater Private Island Butler Villa with Infinity Pool

Exterior: Expanded private sundeck with private infinity plunge pool, floating hammocks, seating, outdoor shower, and access to the water
